Pictured here is a 1902 Oldsmobile Runabout, similar to the one on the cover of In My Merry Oldsmobile, and for some decades garaged at the fabulous Harrah's automobile collection in Reno, Nevada. It cost $725 F.O.B., and came with a 4 horsepower 95.4 cubic inch engine. Depending on configuration it could transport up to four passengers. The tonneau cover and rudder stick steering were standard on most cars of the time. Also, note the bicycle style wheels, and the curved dash front, giving it that distinctive Oldsmobile identification. This was not "my father's Oldsmobile!"
