Welcome to the RagPiano.com Help Section

This Help Section explains how to use the ragpiano.com ragtime music site, as well as defining some of the purpose of each section. It will help you with navigation through the major sections and particular elements within each section.

Using the Help Section

The Help Section contains a few functions to aid in better understanding the sites features and how to access and use them.

Navigation

The bar at the top is the master navigation for help. It contains the overall help areas and lookups. The current area is indicated by depressed button. You may click on the other button titles to go to that area. Each area works much in the same manner as described below.

The frame to the left side is the main navigation area. It contains the major sections and topics within each help area. The sections are indicated by a book icon, and the topics by a question icon. You may expand or contract the sections by clicking on the title. You may view each topic by clicking on the topic name, and it will appear in this frame.

Hyperlinks

You will see hyperlinks within the text portions of Help. Some may also be attached to graphic buttons. In all cases, an active hyperlink will be indicated by a pointing hand cursor over that link. They will lead you to other sections of help, or directly to sections of the site in a separate browser tab or window.

Support and Questions

At the bottom of many of the topics you will see a hyperlink that when clicked will take you into a mail program for you to send a suppor request or question to me. If you are using a browser based email system like G-Mail or Hotmail/Outlook, you can right click on a link, such as , and select either Copy Shortcut or Copy Email Address to copy the address into the clipboard. You can then paste the address into your To: line and separate the Subject out, putting that into the Subject: line. Virtually all emails are answered, but when I am on travel for performance it sometimes takes a little longer depending on my access on the road.
